What should I know about traveling to Anguilla? 

For our U.S. guests, you’ll need a valid passport to enter Anguilla, as well as proof of onward or return travel. We recommend double-checking your passport expiration date well in advance of the trip so there are no last-minute surprises!

Anguilla is a small island, so getting around is relatively easy. Taxis are readily available, and renting a Moke for the day can also be a great option if you’d like the freedom to explore on your own. One thing to keep in mind: they drive on the left side of the road! The Hotel Concierge can assist with arranging transportation to/from dinner or additional activities outside of the Wedding Weekend events.

How do I get from the airport or ferry station to the Malliouhana hotel?

Please contact the Malliouhana Concierge at 844-815-9207 at least one week prior to arrival to coordinate your airport or ferry transfer to the hotel. Unfortunately, Uber and Lyft do not participate on the island and taxis are not readily available at the airport or ferry station.

How will I get around on the island?

U.S. dollars are used throughout the island. Credit cards are also accepted, though it’s always helpful to have some cash on hand for taxis, tips, and smaller purchases.

What currency is used? Can I use U.S. dollars? 

No! Anguilla uses the same standard outlets as the U.S., so you can plug in your devices as usual. 

Do I need a power adapter?

Expect warm Caribbean weather, sunshine, and plenty of beach time! Tropical showers can pop up from time to time, but they’re often brief. 

What’s the weather like?

Yes! Many of the island’s most popular restaurants can fill up quickly, so check out the Exploring Anguilla section for some of our favorite recommendations. If there’s somewhere you’re especially excited to try outside of the wedding festivities, we recommend making a reservation in advance.
